The Asus Eee Pad

Monday, May 31st, 2010

The Asus Eee Pad is a great new tablet PC from Asus. Asus is an always innovative company that provides high quality products at a fair price. Asus products are much cheaper than comparable products from Apple for example. As a side note Asus were also the first to invent netbooks (those very mobile miniature laptops) The new Eee pad is a great competitor for Apple’s iPad.

The Asus Eee Pad is supposed to be officially available from this summer and promises to be a device that could match the iPad. One advantage brought by the Asus device is that it will probably be cheaper than the iPad. Even so the Asus Eee pad also promises to be great from the technological point of view. First of all the Eee pad will be using a new display type. Apple called their device an eReader, but the iPad is not actually an eReader in the true sense because it has an LCD screen. The Mirasol display which will probably be used for the Asus Eee is probably the best choice for the monitor of a tablet device. It is not as tiring as the LCD, but it offers much more detailed color image than the e-ink technology which is still new. The touch screen of the new Asus tablet will also be multi touch. That is a great advantage.

Another plus for the Asus Eee pad is that you will also be able to shoot videos and pictures with it. The iPad does not offer this possibility. This tablet comes with a 1.3-megapixel camera sensor which will let you capture moments whenever you are with it. 3G will also enable you to always be connected to the internet. This will not be a tablet PC that is mobile only in theory. You will be able to carry around your tablet anywhere you want to with you.

If you are thinking of buying a tablet PC before you do it might be a great idea to take a moment and think about what you really want. Do not choose to just jump and buy the first tablet you see. You will be much better off if you see all models and choose the one you think is the best. Asus products may be a great choice.
